Low-Pressure Injection Molding by Prototyping mold---Kaito Mould

The liquid resin (polyurethane) is pressed into a mould at a pressure of 2 to 4 bar.

Benefits:

  • Capable of producing large components such as mountings or front panels for passenger vehicles.
  • Tool also suitable for high volumes.
  • Good surface on both sides.
  • Properties easily influenced by choice of material.
Limits:

  • Tool relatively costly to produce
  • In theory, the size is unlimited, however, sufficient internal pressure must be guaranteed by the weight and design of the tool.
Materials:

  • Various RIM polyurethane resins are ordered and selected as required

Areas of Application:

  • Functional models
  • Design models
  • Installation tests
  • Design test
  • Form and fit tests
  • Large patterns accurate in every detail with a good surface
